"An itemized summary of estimated or intended expenditures for a given period along with proposals for financing them."1 Only not so complicated. PeachBudget is a spreadsheet-based budget template—a complete budgeting framework, where you just add the numbers. Download a copy and open it in your favorite spreadsheet program, and you're ready to go.
Enter your spending categories and budgeted amounts on the "Start Here" tab. Save your receipts, and once every week or so, take 15 minutes to enter your purchases into PeachBudget; the pre-entered formulas will do the rest. Your totals will carry over month-to-month, starting where you do. Click on the "Summary" tab or check out the "Graphs" tab to see how you're doing!
Every now and then I add new features to PeachBudget, like the graphs. If you would like to be notified when new versions of PeachBudget are available, sign up for our announcement list below. This is a very low traffic list—you'll probably only get one email from me every few months, if even that. You don't have to do it right now; download PeachBudget, use it for a few weeks to see how you like it, and then come back and sign up. I respect your privacy as much as I respect my own. Email addresses will treated with the utmost respect and never be used for anything other than the single aforementioned purpose.
I'm interested in what you think; please send questions, comments, suggestions, and good jokes to peachbudget@ideaharbor.org.
My family has been using this budget for over two years, and we hope that it can be useful to others as well. Enjoy!
